BOUNTY'S PROMISE CONTEST OFFICIAL RULES NO PURCHASE NECESSARY 1. HERE'S HOW IT WORKS: Nominate a "Father-Daughter Duo" to receive a trip to the Daddy's Promise Father/Daughter dance in New York City in June 2009. The "Father" nominated must be the daughter’s father or male legal guardian. The father/male legal guardian may nominate himself. To nominate a "Father-Daughter Duo," submit a photo showing a special "Father-Daughter moment" along with a brief statement of 50-words or fewer describing the importance of "Father-Daughter" time in the nominee's family. The judges will determine the winning entries. The "Father" nominated in each winning entry will be deemed the winner and will receive the prize as described in Rule #5. See Rule #3 for entry instructions and submission/photograph requirements. 2. ELIGIBILITY: The nominator must be a resident of the 48 Contiguous United States or the District of Columbia who is 18 or older at time of entry and who is a family member or close family friend of the nominee. The nominee must be a resident of the 48 Contiguous United States or the District of Columbia who is 18 or older at time of entry and who is the father or male legal guardian of a female child. The female child must appear in the photo and be a resident of the 48 Contiguous United States or the District of Columbia who is under the age of 18 at time of entry. Employees of Procter & Gamble and Ed Gordon Media LLC and their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible. Photograph must be in JPEG, GIF or Bitmap format only, with a file size of up to 1MB. Photograph can be in color or black and white. Photo must contain the father or male legal guardian and one daughter only. No other persons in whole or in part may be depicted in the photo. Professional or studio photographs are not eligible. All material submitted becomes property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Statement must be entrant’s original work and entrant must have the rights to submit the photo into the contest. Statement and photo may not have been previously published nor won a prize or award. Modifying, enhancing or altering a third party’s preexisting work does not qualify as Entrant’s original creation. The submission cannot contain any unacceptable clothing or adornments, or display any commercial/corporate advertising (including but not limited to corporate logos, brand names, slogans, political, personal and religious statements) and they must not contain defamatory statements (including words or symbols that are widely considered offensive to individuals of a certain race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic group); they must not include threats to any person, place, business, or group; they must not invade privacy or other rights of any person, firm, entity, and they must not in any way violate applicable federal, state, or local laws and regulations as determined by Sponsor, in its sole discretion. Submissions may not contain indecent behavior, profanities or obscenities, including but not limited to nudity, or pornography, and may not in any way disparage persons or organizations associated with Sponsor; sponsor/judges reserve the right in their sole discretion to disqualify any entry that, in their sole opinion, refers, depicts or in any way reflects negatively upon the Sponsor, the Contest or any other person or entity, or does not comply with these requirements or these Official Rules. Submissions must be suitable for presentation in a public forum, in sole determination of judges and/or Sponsor. By entering this contest, the entrant must receive prior written permission from the nominee featured in the photo (or from his parent/legal guardian if nominee is considered a minor in his state of residence) for entrant to submit photo/statement into the Contest. Entrant will make written copies of such permissions available to the Sponsor upon request. Additionally, if entrant is considered a minor in his/her state of residence, entrant will receive permission from his/her parent/legal guardian to enter the Contest. 4. JUDGING: All eligible entries received during each Entry Period indicated in the chart in Rule #3 will be preliminarily judged to determine the top 60 entries for that Entry Period by D.L. Blair, Inc., an independent judging organization whose decisions are final on all matters relating to the contest. The top 60 entries for each Entry Period will then be judged by a panel of Sponsor representatives to determine the prize winners for that Entry Period. All judging will be based on the following criteria: Originality & Creativity of Photo – 25%; Appropriateness of Photo to Theme – 25%; Originality & Creativity of Statement – 25% and Appropriateness of Statement to Theme – 25%. In the event of a tie, tied entries will be broken based on the highest score for "Originality & Creativity of Statement." Winners will be notified by mail/express delivery carrier. 5. PRIZES: (124) prizes with a total approximate retail value of $51,400.00 will be awarded as follows (see Rule #3 for the number of prizes available for each entry period): (10) Grand Prizes: A trip to New York for the winning Father and his Daughter (depicted in photo) to attend a special Daddy’s Promise Father/Daughter Dance to be held between Friday, June 12 and Sunday, June 14, 2009. Prize includes round-trip coach air transportation from major airport nearest winner’s home, 2-nights hotel accommodations (1 room/double occupancy), ground transportation to/from hotel/airport in New York, a $500 “shopping spree” at a NYC department store, awarded as a gift card (subject to terms and conditions on card), a salon package, brunch and cooking demonstration at B. Smith’s restaurant, afternoon tea at the American Girl Store, admission to the Father/Daughter Dance and $400 spending money. Travelers are solely responsible for all other fees and expenses not specifically set forth herein, including but not limited to meals, additional transportation, souvenirs and other incidentals and items of a personal nature. The actual retail value of the prize will depend on winner's point of departure/return. Travelers must travel on same itinerary. In the event the Father/Daughter Dance is cancelled or postponed for any reason, Sponsor will have no obligation to award compensation in lieu thereof but the remainder of the trip will be awarded. (Approximate Retail Value: $4,000 per prize). (24) First Prizes: Each winner will receive a Weber Gas Grill (Approximate Retail Value: $400.00 per prize). (60) Second Prizes: Each winner will receive a pair of movie tickets, awarded as a $20.00 gift card, subject to terms and conditions on card. (30) Third Prizes: Each winner will receive a Bounty Prize Package consisting of a selection of sponsor-specified product and branded items (Approximate Retail Value: $20.00 per prize). GENERAL RULES: In consideration for a) the opportunity to win a prize in the case where the entrant nominates himself or b) the opportunity to have entrant’s nominee win a prize where the entrant nominates another person, which in either case is acknowledged to be sufficient, entrant hereby agrees to the following: By entering this contest, entrant (or parent/legal guardian if entrant is a minor in his/her state of residence) certifies that the statement is his/her own original work and he/she holds all rights to the statement, that he/she has the rights to submit the photo into the contest, that the statement and photo have not been previously published, have not won a previous prize or award and that he/she followed the Official Rules of the Contest. Entrant who submitted a Grand Prize winning entry will be required to complete an Affidavit of Eligibility. Potential Grand Prize winners (or parent/legal guardian if potential winner is deemed a minor in his state of residence) will be required to complete an Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability, Prize Acceptance Form and, if legally permissible, a Publicity Release. In addition, Potential Grand Prize winner will be required to complete a Release of Liability for his daughter (depicted in photo), who will be his traveling companion on the trip. All documents must be completed and returned within 5 days of attempted delivery of same. Potential First Prize winners (or parent/legal guardian if potential winner is deemed a minor in his state of residence) will be required to complete a Release of Liability/Prize Acceptance form within 14 days of notification. Noncompliance within any time period stated above or return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and an alternate winner will may be selected. Winners will be notified by mail/overnight delivery. All travelers must agree to depart and return on dates specified by the Sponsor; dates of departure and return are subject to change. No substitution or transfer of prize by winner permitted. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize of equal or greater value. All applicable taxes are the sole responsibility of winner. In no event will more than the stated number of prizes be awarded. All material submitted becomes the sole property of Sponsor and none will be returned.
